Guest Speaker: Lt. Col. Edmon Monk

Retired U.S. Army Lt. Col. Ed Monk co-owns and operates Last Resort Firearms Training. He is also a part-time White Hall police officer. In 2007, Monk retired from the Army as a lieutenant colonel and battalion commander after 24 years of active duty in the U.S., Europe and Iraq. Immediately after his Army retirement, he taught U.S. government and U.S. history at the high school level for four years and was a deputy sheriff in Kentucky. He has been a professional firearms instructor in Ohio, Kentucky, and now Arkansas. Monk has a bachelor of science in U.S. history from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, a master of science in education from Kansas State University, and is a graduate of the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College.
